2020: Results of Community Health Worker survey (CHW) published in March.

Nurse Residency Programs: A Viable Solution to Recruitment and Retention
Challenges in Long Term Care (paper on pilot results 2018 – 2019).

2019: CHW Survey Committee formed to create statewide survey to enumerate and characterize the work of CHWs.

2018: Innovative approaches to interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including the emerging CHW role, are being presented state-wide.

2017: Awarded Immanuel Vision Foundation grant to implement a pilot program on Nurse Residencies for long-term care. To begin Sept. 1 for urban/rural facilities using the IA Online Nurse Residency Program.

Congratulations Nebraska Nurse Practitioners (NNP)! Nebraska becomes the 20th state to modernize practice for NPs. Second attempt a success! The NAC is proud to have collaborated with NNP, providing resources over the past three years in the quest for full practice authority.
